The article describes the case of a 65-year old woman of African descent with a history of glaucoma. It discusses the risk factors for glaucoma that require screening, the assessment of visual field and visual acuity during physical examination, and possible referral to an eye care specialist. The results of the patient's visual field, visual acuity, vertical cup-to-disc ratio, as well as her response to medication are presented.
