- Abstract
The article investigates the established relationship between the interest rate and the exchange rates also known as Uncovered Interest Rate Parity (UIP) in Romania. It states that exchange rate is seen as the price of an asset, while exchange rate reflects the present value of all relevant aspects. It emphasizes that monetary policy is needed and is effective during the financial crisis.
