- Abstract
The article focuses on a study about the implementation of OR parallelism and explores the evaluation of the formal model to be used for the implementation. It discusses the significance of OR parallelism in exploiting alternative solutions in parallel. It looks at the occurrence of the main problems and limitations in the implementation. It presents the main memory management mechanisms which are involved in a classical sequential implementation of the Prolog language. It illustrates and analyzes OR parallel models based on centralized binding environments and on distributed environments. It analyzes and presents multi-agents system models and stack operations methods, and classifies OR parallel execution models using the three Gupta-Jayaraman criteria.
