- Title
Resonant States in Few-Body Systems: An Introduction to the Special Issue.
- Authors
Lazauskas, Rimantas; Kievsky, Alejandro
- Abstract
This document is an introduction to a special issue of the journal "Few-Body Systems" that focuses on resonant states in physics. Resonant states are complex energy poles of the Hamiltonian matrix and are important in various branches of physics. The issue includes original contributions that discuss numerical techniques for determining resonant state properties, computational approaches for calculating bound and resonant states, neutron-induced resonances in nuclear systems, the R-matrix method for describing scattering processes, migration of bound states to resonant states, and the role of resonant states in catalyzing reactions. The issue also explores resonant states in hadronic physics, including pentaquark configurations and exotic hadronic structures. The publisher remains neutral on jurisdictional claims and affiliations.
