- Abstract
The article reports on the ornithologist Alexander Wilson who was a collector of finest birds. Discussed are the 348 Species of birds found within the large area of the eastern forest of North America in which 255 species has been described and classified by him in volumes one to eight of the journal American Ornithology. Also discussed are the sketches of additional 13 species which he left and was completed by George Ord and was published as volume nine.
