- Abstract
O tratamento do câncer de mama pode se dar através de procedimento(s) cirúrgico(s) concomitante as terapias, seguido de diversas seqüelas e limitações dentre elas a da articulação glenoumeral. O objetivo do estudofoi identificar as alterações da força muscular no membro superior após cirurgia, no intuito de, possivelmente, incrementar o processo de reabilitação. Participaram do estudo 12 mulheres pós mastectomia radical fizeram parte de um treinamentofísico com duração de 12 semanas sem linfedemas e em tratamento neoadjuvante. A força de preensão palmar foi mensurada através de um dinamômetro da marca Sammons Preston®. No tratamento estatístico utilizou-se o teste t pareado, com p<0.05. Os resultados demonstraram diferença significativa na força de preensão palmar entre o membro acometido dominante, o membro oposto em portadoras de câncer de mama antes e após a intervenção p=0.044 e também de forma significativa para os membros acometidos um p<0.0001 Os dados obtidos mostram uma melhora da força de preensão palmar no membro em que foi extirpada a mama o que nos sugere que o exercíciofísico pode ter influenciado.
