The article present literary criticism of Alexis Wright's novel "The Swan Book" through various interpretative paradigms. It exploring themes like counternarratives of harm, retraumatizing policies, identity politics & protagonist Oblivia's role as a mute narrator; the novel's genre ambiguity within the realm of science fiction and interdisciplinary explorations; and Oblivia's role as a symbolic figure representing the abused Aboriginal child & journey toward empowerment through storytelling.
