- Abstract
The article discusses America's history of legal sanctions for frivolous litigation in relation to the author's views about whether Title 28, Section 1927 of the U.S. Code, which deals with sanctions, should apply to law firms as of 2016. America's Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and legal ethics in the country are examined, along with the legal obligations of attorneys. Legal interpretations by various U.S. federal circuit courts of appeals. The U.S. Congress is also mentioned.
