- Abstract
The article discusses the Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 protections for pregnant and parenting African American students following the conclusion of the 2021 U.S. Supreme Court case Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization. Topics explored include the prohibition of discrimination based on pregnancy and parenting status of students in federally funded schools, the prevalence of ill-timed pregnancies among African American teenagers, and the support needed by single mothers.
