- Abstract
The article presents a study which focuses on the isolation of the structures of the trihydroxamate siderophore, vicibactin, and two of its modified or degraded products from Rhizobium (R.) leguminosarum ATTCC 14479 bv. Trifolii. The study uses the Mannitol Yeast Agar supplemented with Congo Red dye to maintain the culture of the bacteria. Results show that the presence of siderophore on the Chrome Azurol S (CAS) assay was positive in the culture supernatant from R. leguminosarum ATCC 14479.
