- Abstract
The article titled "The development of a responsible digital infrastructure" analyzes how digital technologies are transforming environments related to cross-border human mobility. Examples are mentioned such as predictive modeling to anticipate climate-induced migration, the collection of biometric data in humanitarian operations, and the experience of asylum seekers using the CBP One application in Mexico. The challenges and opportunities posed by the digital platform economy are also addressed. The importance of designing a responsible digital infrastructure that adapts to the current reality of displacement and migration, and that allows for a quick response to changes and demands, is highlighted. The Robert Bosch Stiftung works closely with stakeholders and key partners to critically address how to use digital technologies responsibly in the fields of migration and displacement.
