- Abstract
In 2008 Arizona Universities Library Consortium and Films Media Group activated an innovative model for access to and acquisition of streaming video. With full access to the entire FMG On Demand collection the libraries purchase titles that users view: the "Arizona Model". This article outlines the Arizona Model and its implementation. The article's focus is neither a promotion nor review of the product, nor does it discuss in detail the product's technical specifications and requirements. It does, however, identify problems and stumbling blocks encountered in the process of taking On Demand live for AULC. In doing so the article addresses some of On Demand's technical requirements and capabilities. While addressing the implementation across all three of the AULC libraries, the article chiefly represents the perspective from Arizona State University.
