- Abstract
O complexo do agronegócio do cavalo no Brasil é constituído por diferentes segmentos atuantes na "indústria do cavalo", que juntos movimentam mais de R$ 7 bilhões por ano e são responsáveis por empregar direta e indiretamente mais de 3 milhões de indivíduos. A reprodução equina contribuiu para esse desenvolvimento através do fornecimento de novas biotecnologias que possibilitaram elevar a eficiência reprodutiva desses animais, que antesW afetava diretamente o resultado da taxa de fertilidade da espécie equina. Com o presente projeto buscou-se avaliar a utilização do hormônio sintético acetato de histrelina em diferentes doses em protocolo de indução de múltiplas ovulações em éguas. Foram utilizadas 35 éguas Quarto de Milha divididas em três grupos: grupo controle (GC, n = 20), não tratado; grupo H1 (GH1, n = 5), que recebeu 25 µg de histrelina; grupo H2 (GH2, n = 10), que recebeu 50 µg de histrelina, por via intramuscular, a cada 12 horas, durante 5,3 dias (± 1,3), 6,2 dias (± 1,6) e 4,6 dias (± 1,4), respectivamente. Para o tratamento com histrelina, os animais deveriam apresentar múltiplos folículos ovarianos de tamanho inferior a 20 mm para que esses fossem estimulados até que atingissem diâmetro igual ou superior a 35 mm para ser induzida a ovulação com 2.000 UI de hCG, intravenosa, associada à aplicação de 250 µg de acetato de histrelina, intramuscular. Realizavase inseminação artificial da égua em média após 36-48hs da indução da ovulação e, posterior a 8-9 dias, era efetuada a coleta de embrião. Verificou-se aumento na média de folículos pré-ovulatórios do grupo tratado H2 (2,0 ± 0,9) em relação ao grupo controle (1,1 ± 0,4), com aumento na média de múltiplas ovulações passando de 1,0 (±0,3) para 1,6 (±0,7) entre os referidos grupos. A taxa de crescimento médio dos maiores folículos do grupo GH2 foi de 3,20 (±0,87) mm/dia, obtendo-se uma média de tempo de indução da ovulação de 4,6 (±1,4) dias até que o folículo atingisse o diâmetro ideal para que fosse induzida a ovulação, diferentemente do grupo tratado GH1, com média de taxa de crescimento de 2,36 (±0,5) mm/dia e média para tratamento de indução de 6,2 (±1,6) dias. A utilização de acetato de histrelina na dose de 50 µg aumentou a taxa de múltipla ovulação em éguas Quarto de Milha, demonstrando que a aplicação desse potente análogo de GnRH é efetiva na indução de múltiplas ovulações para essa raça equina.
