NINTH VS. TENTH GRADE PLACEMENT OF GENERAL BIOLOGY.
- Authors
Yager, Robert E.; Dessel, Normal F.
- Abstract
The article compares the ninth and tenth grade placement of general biology. Students at both grade levels elected to take the course. The choice has been possible for students in the University Experimental Schools. The two sections of biology were taught by the same teacher daily during the first two periods of the day. The article suggests that there appears to have been higher achievement in general biology in the ninth grade section. There is no significant difference between the two groups in their ability to apply the information considered in the course.
