- Abstract
The article aims to investigate how the use of the digital platform YouTube can contribute to the teaching and learning process aimed at preparing for educational career competitions. To this end, articles from publications and reports published on the internet were analyzed, both of which are aimed at the community that aims to compete for a vacancy in the public service, specifically, in the educational area as a whole. The purposes for which candidates seek such a structure are observed, as well as the availability of such matters being available for full-time monitoring and updating. As an example, the YouTube channel "Os Pedagógicos" is cited and a mention is made in relation to the number of subscribers and the total number of views of the broadcasts of its last three lives. The digital media that are currently being most used are described and their correlation with information relevant to the use of visual language as a way of promoting the teaching and learning process. Information related to the importance of the Youtube platform in monitoring recent legal updates, such as the LDB, can be observed. Furthermore, throughout the article, the importance of YouTube is emphasized as a learning space where teachers and students can create a list of videos on the social network, with this function being a playlist call, which must be relevant to users and that they are in accordance with the content studied. The International Bank of Educational Objects was informed in the development of the article, which is an instrument that engages different educational media aimed at the public, with different formats and for all stages of teaching. Finally, we sought to bring relevance to academic work through the interpretation of the magazine's price published by Why Video 2021, showing that, at the time of the research, 9 out of 10 Brazilians used the YouTube platform to study.
