- Abstract
N leaching in dry farmland is one of the most important reason for the environmental non-point pollution. The control measures for soil N leaching in dry farmland has been reviewed from the aspects of fertilizer management (including chemical fertilizer reduction and balanced fertilization), water management (including regime and method of irrigation, water-retaining agent), and soil amendment such as slow/controlling-releasing fertilizer and biochar. Needs about the future study on the N-leaching control measures have been proposed that the technique of the control measures and field monitoring should be designed specially for the certain location, the cost of performing control measures should be reduced, and the different control measures could be assembled systematically. The review provided some helps on improving the N fertilizer use efficiency and solving the problems of non-point pollution caused by N leaching in dry farmland.
