- Abstract
Ashi river basin has frequent flood disasters. This paper mainly uses HEC-RAS software to simulate the flood in the study area and make flood inundation map, which not only enriches the blank field of the flood study area in small and medium-sized basins, but also has important guiding significance for local disaster prevention and mitigation and risk control. Through the flood simulation of different return periods, the maximum submergence depth and maximum flow velocity of 5 - year, 10 - year, 20 - year and 50 - year floods are obtained. It is found that the flood submergence depth of the basin at the river corner is generally large, and the flood flow velocity before the river corner will increase. Subsequently, flood inundation map of the study area was prepared with arcGIS and other mapping tools, which enriched flood inundation map of small and medium-sized basins in different regions of China.
