- Abstract
The article discusses corrosion control in marine refrigeration systems in the U.S. Problems in corrosion are severe in marine refrigeration and air-conditioning plants and affects the crew's survival in naval warships and submarines. The main types of corrosion that occurs in marine refrigeration systems include electrochemical, galvanic, cracking and fouling. It mentions that designers need to consider ease of inspection and maintenance and optimization of capital.
