Robust Second-Order Sideband Generation in a Photonic-Molecule Optomechanics with Phonon Pump.

- Abstract
We theoretically investigate the second-order sideband generation (SSG) in a photonic-molecule optomechanics with phonon pump under the condition of resonance and off-resonance. We find that the efficiency of SSG presents four sideband peaks in resonance with controlling the different parametric regimes including the cavity-cavity coupling J, the ratio parameter δ of the two cavities, and the amplitude f and the phase ϕm of the phonon pump. Combining the two cavities coupling and phonon pump, the efficiency of SSG can be significantly enhanced. Furthermore, the SSG is also sensitive to the condition of off-resonance, which presents mode splitting behavior under different parametric regimes, and our work offer a promising route towards achieving tunable optical nonlinearity.
