- Abstract
The article discusses the case of a 9 year old male beagle dog presented for evaluation of expanding cutaneous nodules overlying joints of the extremities and increased swelling of the dog's skin on the face, trunk and scrotum. The results of an endocrine testing suggested a state of hypothyroidism. The case shows a clinical presentation typical of generalized cutaneous mucinosis (CM) characterized by pronounced swelling and exaggerated folding of the skin.
