Imaging of gynecological disease (2): clinical and ultrasound characteristics of Sertoli cell tumors, Sertoli-Leydig cell tumors and Leydig cell tumors. Approximately 75% of SLCTs occur in women younger than 30 years of age (25 years on average), and less than 10% occur prior to menarche or after menopause, whereas Leydig cell tumors are more common in older patients, occurring at an average age of 58 years[4]. According to previous studies, SLCTs and Leydig cell tumors of the ovary have similar ultrasound features but differ in size; SLCTs have an average diameter of 44 mm, while Leydig cell tumors have an average diameter of 23 mm[[4], [7]].
