- Abstract
An editorial is presented to the article acute kidney injury (AKI) has common in hospitalized children and is associated with increased morbidity and mortality for pediatric populations. Topics include the 22nd Acute Disease Quality Initiative (ADQI) convened multidisciplinary experts from the globe in San Diego, California; and AKI represents a significant public health burden, substantially increasing healthcare costs for the age spectrum.
