- Abstract
The article describes two case studies concerning empirical research on the management of marine social-ecological systems in Canada. The first case involves understanding values across the seafood sector, focusing on Vancouver Island, British Columbia's Campbell River, noting the adoption of the Q method to identify values. The second case discussed shellfish aquaculture and well-being of the social-ecological systems (SESs) in Baynes Sound on the east coast of Vancouver Island.
