- Abstract
The article offers information on the findings of a study concerning unanticipated asymptomatic intracranial abnormalities of uncertain clinical significance, caused due to widespread use of brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Topics discussed include relationship between radiologically isolated syndrome (RIS) and multiple sclerosis (MS); role of central nervous system (CNS) demyelination; and need of fulfilling the McDonald criteria for MRI dissemination in time (DIT) for diagnosis.
