- Abstract
Thereafter, he had been receiving 14 monthly cycles of nivolumab with good tolerance until the abrupt skin eruption; the treatment response to immunotherapy was favorable with significant regression of the known tumor lesions and no evidence of a new metastatic lesion. A few cases of BP possibly associated with anti-PD-1 treatment were first reported in 2016 when the treatment modality was still relatively novel.[3] Ever since, the use of anti-PD-1 agents has increased exponentially and so have the cases of BP secondary to anti-PD-1 therapy.[1] The exact mechanism of BP under this condition remains largely unclear.
