- Abstract
The article examines the characteristics of blood cells, their origin and their function in relation to immunological reactions. It states that anatomists have been aware that specific chemicals synthesized by specialized cells are released into the body fluids and carried throughout the body. Meanwhile, there are other synthesized substances that are stored in membraneous sacs within cells soon became evident. In connection, the importance of cell circulation and active migration are also emphasized in the article.
