- Abstract
The article presents a study that examines the consequences of human-related flood control measures such as levees, floods, and floodplain forests along the Wisconsin River in Wisconsin. It offers details of the study which uses field sampling to identify how levees altered the distribution f dominant floodplain forest trees. It notes the result of the research which suggests the importance of floodplain restoration that targets the removal of mainline levees.
