- Abstract
A literary criticism of the book "Pride and Prejudice" by Jane Austen is presented. It outlines the characters and examines the symbolic significance of these characters. The themes of the book are explored which include marriage, family, and cultural modernization. Also discussed are the relationship between marriage and individual fulfillment, representation of personhood, and courtship.
