- Abstract
This document provides summaries of several research articles in the field of clinical pharmacology and therapeutics. The first article discusses a computer model that predicts the transfer of an antimalarial drug called primaquine from lactating mothers to their infants through breast milk. The second article examines the effectiveness of a drug called tirofiban in treating acute ischemic stroke, with results showing improved recovery in certain patient subgroups. The third article explores the use of low-dose amitriptyline in treating irritable bowel syndrome, finding that it improves symptoms but also causes side effects. The fourth article introduces the Immune Dictionary, a comprehensive map of immune cell responses to different cytokines, which can aid in studying the immune system and developing therapies. The final article investigates the hormone GDF15 and its role in causing nausea and vomiting in pregnancy, suggesting that targeting GDF15 could lead to new treatments for this condition.
