- Abstract
The study on entrepreneurship, in Administration, has focused on economist views. However, other approaches make entrepreneurship a polysemic and multidisciplinary field. The aim of this paper is to promote a polysemic discussion, as a counterpoint to economic reductionism, based on the field of Administration. For this purpose, through a qualitative approach, the discussion mobilizes the interaction between entrepreneurship and the entrepreneur, which, in dialogue, qualify and illuminate criticisms of economic views in the scope of entrepreneurship. The results show that the technical-scientific tooling alone is not enough to train entrepreneurs or develop entrepreneurial action. Efforts are needed for a philosophical education, understanding the field as a polysemic locus, highlighting the pertinence in recognizing entrepreneurship as a phenomenon to be researched and discussed more widely. It is concluded that talking about entrepreneurship under the lens of only one of the theoretical perspectives consists of reductionism, since it is a polysemic field, in constant construction.
