- Abstract
An essay is presented on unequal academic exchange between Africa and the West. The author highlights the exclusion in scholarship, criticism, production, and academic study in theatres in Africa. He states that emigration is one of the unavoidable consequences of African economic crisis which has forced the exclusion. He also discusses the postcolonial criticism and the international exclusion among African theatre artists and scholars especially in relation with Western critics and scholars.
