- Abstract
The article explores the comic art of Jewish-American writer Saul Bellow in his comic story "Mosby's Memoirs." It notes the use of comedy to reveal illusions and character that signifies Bellow's comic art. It also cites the relationship of the story's character to humanity as well as aspects of his personality that relate to his style of comedy. Moreover, it infers the contribution of Bellow to the advancement of American comedy to the diversity of 20th century culture.
