- Abstract
In this study, in the context of Altaic Language Theory, it was compared by considering the appearance and functional characteristics at different grammatical levels such as phonetics and morphology of the reduplication category in Altaic languages, and the common characteristics determined in these languages were evaluated in terms of language affinity and language relations. It has been suggested that reduplication, which occurs in two general forms, full and partial, and has various morphophonological forms, is typologically common in terms of both the processes of phonological and morphological emergence and functions, in Altaic languages such as Turkish, Korean, Japanese, Mongolian, Manchu-Tungus. Moreover, in Hungarian, the use of the reduplication category was analyze, and it was deduced that it correspond with to a great extent with the typological tendencies that other Altaic languages, especially Turkish has.
