- Abstract
The article presents information on internationalization of fire protection. The International Federation of Fire Brigades was founded in Paris in order to promote friendly relations' between representatives of brigades and promote the exchange of practical information. On the basis of the case study of Birmingham fire brigade, this article examines the internationalization of networking activities undertaken during the late Victorian and early Edwardian period. The National Fire Brigades Union, a voluntary association established in 1888 sent delegations to the annual International Congress of Fire Brigades, to depict the interests of Britain's professional, retained and voluntary service.
