- Abstract
Aim: This study aimed to study the effect of COVID-19 pandemic on the level of psychological distress among final year post-graduate students in Faculty of Dentistry, University Malaya, Malaysia. Materials and Methods: Online survey were conducted among final year post graduate student in Faculty of Dentistry, University Malaya. Participant's level of psychological distress was accessed according to Kessler Psychological Distress Scale (K10). Results: 21.8% of students reported with mild psychological distress, 13% with moderate psychological distress and 17.4% with severe psychological distress. Conclusion: More than half of the students experienced different level of psychological distress (52.2%). This study suggested that psychological well-being of students should be monitored closely during this crisis. Close communication with students and counselling sessions will be helpful in handling this situation.
