The article discusses the contribution of women such as the wife of Richard Morris to the development of turkey farming in Montana in the 1920s. Topics included are the observations of U.S. Cooperative Extension Service poultry specialist Harriette E. Cushman on the success of breeders in the state, the formation of marketing cooperatives to raise opportunities for members, and the use of the birds to control grasshopper populations.
