CLINICAL SPECIALISTS STILL RARE IN CANCER CARE.
Abstract
The article reports on the revelation of Health Minister Ann Keen that almost one-third of the multidisciplinary teams for upper-gastrointestinal cancers in Great Britain do not have a nurse specialist. She added that a fifth of those concerned with lung cancer and urology lack specialist nurses. Meanwhile, 96% of breast cancer services has at least one clinical nurse specialist.
