- Abstract
We present the results of the research on pre and post gestational obesity of pregnant women in relation to their attendance - lack of attendance at nutritional control at the Gyneco - Pediatric Hospital of Los Mochis, during the first semester of 2017. Through a comparative and statistical techniques of hypothesis testing, especially analysis of variance and t tests, found that there is a significant difference between mothers going to nutritional consultation and those who do not. Those that did not attend obtained an average difference of BMI of 4.9 kg / m2, whereas those that did present a difference of 3.1 kg / m2. This is not to say that all those who went to nutritional consultation managed to control their weight and vice versa, not all mothers who were not ended with greater obesity. Nor could it be clearly seen if the mothers who went to the consultation changed their level of pre and postpartum obesity. It was also found that there is no significant difference between urban mothers and those living in the rural areas, nor between those who are housewives and those who work, but if there are differences in results between mothers with a higher average level and higher education and those who do not have higher education than secondary school.
