- Title
Don Quixote and Sancho Panza Were Walking on the Way: El Caballero Andante and the Book of Radiance (Sefer HaZohar).
- Authors
Wolski, Nathan
- Abstract
The article analyzes the shared themes and literary strategies in "Zohar," a classic work of the Kabbalah, and the novel "Don Quixote," by Miguel de Cervantes. Dominique Aubier, author of the book "Don Quichotte, Prophète d'Israel," says that the term caballero refers to the Kabbalah and that the name of the protagonist, Quixote, is taken from the Aramaic word qeshot which means true or truly. It cites the use of multiple layers of narration, imagined libraries and fictional works in the "Zohar" to allow self-reflexivity.
