- Abstract
The article presents the author's insights on the idea of Herb Strokes, a pioneering change agent at Procter & Gamble Co., on the need to separate human resources (HR) and organization development (OD). He comments on Herb's views of traditional HR role and illustrates the apparent connections of the two forces. An HR Competency Study conducted by RBL Inc. and the University of Michigan Ross School is presented. It also lists the HR competencies such valuing diversity and taking a new role.
