The author discusses the importance of harmonization and centralization of the international securities law in the U.S. He cites the impact of the financial crisis on market condition in the country, which prompted regulators to reform international securities law and consider the necessity of having comprehensive domestic and international regulatory changes to prevent future circumstances. It describes the evolutionary processes to achieve harmonization in international securities law.
