- Abstract
RCVS is a clinical and radiologic syndrome characterized by thunderclap headache and reversible vasoconstriction of cerebral arteries. Digital subtraction angiography (DSA) was significant for a "sausage-on-string" appearance, with multifocal segmental narrowing in the branches of the right anterior cerebral artery (Figure 1a). A previously well middle-aged lady presented to the emergency department with severe headaches.
