- Title
A Novel Role for Kv1.3 Blockers: Protecting Neural Progenitor Cells from a Hostile Inflammatory Environment.
- Authors

- Abstract
The article discusses research on protecting neural progenitor cells (NPCs) which are found in the adult central nervous system (CNS). It is noted that these multipotent cells have a therapeutic use in neurological diseases such as multiple sclerosis (MS) although they are of limited function against chronic inflammation of the CNS due to impaired neurogenesis. It found that KV1.3 blockers support proliferation of NPCs. and lessen T-cell proliferation.
