- Abstract
In many ministries selection of personnel is a process little understood. A fundamental principle is that the process should conclude with the best possible person in the position. The principle steps include considering if the position is really necessary, drawing up the job description, evaluating the curriculum vitae or application forms received, interviewing the candidates, and establishing the salary. Subsequent steps include the official job offer and the notification of the candidates not chosen.
