- Abstract
The consumption of intoxicating imperial drinks of European origin contributed to the development of modern dynamics of miscegenation in the Kingdoms of the West Indies, because they brought together the social plethora between the various Spanish neighborhood, provincial and imperial homelands. This article exposes that in the south of Peru, in the cities of Salta and Jujuy of the government of Tucumán, wine and aguardiente were cultural artifacts that diluted the local in the global, interconnected products, integrated consumers and thus contributed to to stable colonial mestizo dynamics.
