- Abstract
The article features the chamber music group, The Atlantis Ensemble, that performed during the 200th birth anniversary of Felix Mendelssohn, one of the pioneers of the modern early music revival. The group consists of Jaap Schröder playing the violin, Penelope Crawford playing the fortepiano, and Enid Sutherland playing the cello. It was founded in 1990 by Schröder, and the group's name symbolized the cooperation between Trans-Atlantic musicians from Europe and the U.S.
