- Abstract
An editorial is presented on setting an occupational exposure limit (OEL) for welding fumes. Topics include evaluation supporting chronic inflammation and immunosuppression rather than genotoxicity as a mechanism for welding-induced lung cancer; and welding fumes being associated with invasive pneumococcal disease and exposure estimates associated with asthma and pneumonia being lacking.
