- Abstract
However, none of these RVO features were seen in the presented colour fundus photography in Figure 1A. Comparing the superotemporal retinal vein, where patency was proven by fluorescein angiography (FA), with the inferotemporal one in Figure 1A, we can definitely confirm that the inferotemporal retinal vein was not of larger calibre, nor tortuous. In fact, the FA clearly showed hypo-fluorescence over the course of both the inferotemporal retinal artery and vein in Figure 1B. We read with interest the Case Report entitled 'Hyperbaric oxygen therapy for combined branch retinal artery and branch retinal vein occlusion'.[1] However, we doubt about the underlying diagnosis of branch retinal vein occlusion (RVO).
