- Abstract
Digital gangrene often occurs in autoimmune diseases, Buerger's disease, and arteriosclerosis obliterans.[1] In addition, cold agglutinin disease may also be a rare cause of digital gangrene.[2] In this case, the onset of the digital gangrene and dark urine after cold exposure led us to suspect a cold agglutinin disease. A previously healthy 55-year-old woman presented to the emergency department in winter because of painful discoloration of the distal tip of her right middle, ring and little fingers (Figure 1A).
