- Abstract
The article presents various historical notes on the publishing career and effects of the 18th-century U.S. printer Isaiah Thomas. An overview is given of Thomas' professional activities while residing on Worcester, Massachusetts during the Revolutionary War. Discussion is provided analyzing Thomas' bibliography and works during the period, describing both the development and improvements in his technologies and abilities as well as the impact that the conflict had on his business. Several examples from his output are cited and described in detail, especially releases of the journal "The Massachusetts Spy."
